Well-Being Special Interest Group
The mission of the Well-Being Special Interest Group is to develop and maintain a community of practice with which to facilitate discussion, establish collaborative curriculums, and share approaches to addressing drivers of distress, thereby contributing to the well-being of ASPHO members.
Goals:
- Gain a better understanding of well-being in pediatric hematology/oncology, including the positive and negative factors influencing it and the change in well-being over time.
- Identify drivers of distress specific to the pediatric hematology/oncology community, including institutional and societal factors.
- Facilitate institutional approaches to developing curricular content for fellows and trainees directly addressing well-being.
- Collaborate to develop pilots of interventions to improve well-being for faculty across institutions.
- Establish a community of practice around well-being, including sharing experiences, ideas, and advocacy strategies to address burnout and improve well-being.
