Cancer Predisposition Special Interest Group
The mission of the cancer predisposition SIG is to promote the identification, management and surveillance of children with inherited cancer predisposition syndromes (ICPS), as well as develop research and provide education to members of the ASPHO community.
Goals
1. Increase awareness and provide tools to assist in the identification, work-up and referral of children with cancer or family history of cancer for a cancer predisposition evaluation
2. Provide management strategies and best practice discussion for children identified as having an inherited cancer predisposition syndrome. Provide an opportunity to discuss different surveillance modalities and intervals.
3. Provide a platform for research collaboration for those interested in multi-institutional collaborations regarding rare ICPS.
